Thump, thump, BUMP! I turn and look at the stairs, where C sits on the lowest step.
C: That time I got hurt.
Me: What hurts?
C: My bottom. Even though it's very strong. You will NOT see a girl jumping again...
...on the stairs.
(She gets up and bounces across the living room.)
