Did you say something?

C, to the new cat: 
Do you understand me, kitty? 
Do you UNderSTAND me, kitty? 
DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME, KITTY?

Should I tell her that, if the cat doesn't respond, the answer is no?

    The Empress has been known to try to make the cat read AND do her math homework. I think these felines understand a lot more than they let on, but they are very very wise. :D

      True, harriett. Cats are probably smart enough to NOT get involved in reading or math homework - or a small child's drama. :)
