Fun With Phrases

C and I have very different definitions for the phrase "walk on crutches."

I like to think of it as placing one crutch under each arm and using them to replace an injured leg in a typical left leg, right leg sequence.

She likes to throw them as far across the room as possible, dance over to them, and carefully place her feet on them as they lie on the floor. Then she walks, balance beam style, across them.

Her version often leaves me stranded on the other side of the room. I wonder if that's intentional.
